Day 1 - Adventure in Morro Bay
Visit the town Morro Bay, CA* – Get your Morro Bay Adventure Pass today and enjoy a boating tour, whale watching, kayaking or bird watching experience in Morro Bay. You can even book a yacht tour or take an outdoor adventure!
Key Tip: You will experience cool ocean breezes so be sure to dress warm. Don’t forget to take lots of photos of the Morro Rock!
Lunch: Take a late lunch – may we suggest a picnic on the beach or dining at one of Morro Bay's great restaurants!
Explore the museums, galleries, antique shops and aquarium of Morro Bay.
Key Tip: Drive 10 minutes North to the town of Harmony and enjoy wine tasting at Harmony Cellars.
Take a sunset Kayaking tour around the Morro Bay Rock with Central Coast Outdoors.
Key Tip: Tours include hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine and last about 3-3.5 hours.
Dinner: After your Kayaking tour, enjoy Fish n Chips at a local seafood restaurant in Morro Bay.
Day 2 - Ziplining & Hot Springs
Drive to Santa Margarita Ranch for a ziplining adventure with Margarita Adventures. Jump aboard the Pinot Express, an 1800-foot zipline soaring over vineyards and forests.
Key Tip: If traveling from Morro Bay, be sure to leave early, it will take about 50 minutes drive time!
Visit the San Luis Obispo Botanical Gardens – the gardens encompass over 150 acres devoted to the ecosystems and plants of the five Mediterranean climate regions of the world.
Key Tip: The gardens are free to enter, and don’t forget to visit the shop and nursery to take home a little something for your garden!
Travel to Avila Beach to watch the sunset or visit Sycamore Mineral Springs and soak in the mineral spring hot tubs.
Key Tip: Request a reservation in the Oasis Waterfall Lagoon for a luxurious relaxing experience!
Dinner: Enjoy an evening in Avila Beach and indulge in a delicious dinner and one of the great restaurants in town!
Day 3 - Hiking in Avila Beach and Four-Wheeling in Oceano
Take a bike ride on the Bob Jones Trail – The Bob Jones Trail winds through the hills of the Avila Valley and ends at the Pacific Ocean.
Key Tip: To find the start of the trail: Exit US101 at Avila Beach and head west. Turn right on Ontario Rd (Avila Hot Springs). Go past the KOA campground and you will see a parking lot off to the right. The trail starts right across the street. Remember to lock your car and don’t leave any valuables inside.
