People of all ages will enjoy a variety of entertainment at the Stone Soup Faire offers this year. Musicians will be performing all day Saturday and Sunday. Including this year's headliner group and back by popular demand, "Tempest." Other groups scheduled to perform include: Cuesta Ridge, Jill Knight, Mariachi Mexicanisimo, Masanga Marimba, Red Skunk Jipsee Swing Band, Satori Daiko, The Bald Spots, Grupo Aries, and children's entertainer Merrie Mary.
Attendees will also enjoy shopping at a wonderful variety of booths featuring items from around the world as well as tasty international food, wine and beer, crafts and more. The Exploration Station (located right next door to the Ramona Garden Park) will have "hands-on" fun for children to enjoy. Other activities for children at the Stone Soup Festival will be story telling sessions and the "Merrie Mary" Show featuring juggling and acrobatics.
Again this year, the Stone Soup Festival will be kicked off with the 22nd Annual "Dune Run-Run", a 5K/10K walk/run which will be held on Saturday morning at 9 am.
New this year at the Stone Soup Festival will be the Isabel Ruiz Health Faire which will be held on Sunday instead of Saturday as in year's past. The free Health Faire in the Ramona Garden Park Pavilion on Sunday, August 29th, will be held from 12:00 pm to 5:00 p.m. Various non-profit health organizations will offer free screenings for glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol and more. Free health information will also be available at the Stone Soup Health Faire.
